Visart was founded in 1983 by Louise von Wrangell and Victor Oprescu-B'Arg, as an audio- visual production company. Since then, Visart has produced photographic art, film and television screenplays, theater plays, advertisement storyboards, short fiction films, animated CD’s. Upon Victor's early death in November 1984, Louise carried on as sole owner.

Visart has operated successfully in Europe and South America. 

In 1990, Louise opened Visart  a workshop, a school for creative writing and film direction in  Madrid, and two years later in Berlin. The result of those workshops is the foundation of a book about Direction and Dramaturgy of Film.
